This specification covers hot-rolled carbon, structural, high strength-low alloy steel sheet in coils and cut lengths.

Mechanical Properties:

Tensile: 52 KSI minimum

Yield: 33 KSI minimum

Elongation: 23% in 2” for thickness under .230 to 0.097

 

Grade A 1011 GR. 55

Mechanical Properties:

Tensile: 70 KSI minimum

Yield: 55 KSI minimum

Elongation: 15% in 2” for thickness under .230 to 0.097

 

Grade A 1011 GR. 65

Mechanical Properties:

Tensile: 75 KSI minimum

Yield: 65 KSI minimum

Elongation: 16% in 2” for thickness under .230 to 0.097

 

ASTM 871 GR. 65

(Plate Thickness) Covers high strength low-alloy steel plate intended for use in tubular structures and poles. This product provides atmospheric corrosion resistance.

Mechanical Properties:

Tensile: 80 KSI minimum

Yield: 65 KSI minimum

Elongation: 15% in 8”, 17% in 2” (Plates 24” wider -- % is reduced by three %)

 

 

 

 

Size range : 24 gauge to 10 gauge, 36", 48", 60" width.

A fully processed carbon steel, annealed for softness, then temper passed and lightly oiled.
